Bobkova unites the romantic tradition with a realistic representation of scenery. She created a poetic Russian landscape scenes full of beauty and peaceful desire.
Valery Shvets
is a painter of miniature oils from Moscow. He has a serious heart condition and he paints in order to support himself and his family. He specializes in landscape and nature scenes usually 3x3 inches in size. His work has proven very popular in the US, particularly his “Season of the Year” scenes, featuring Russian nature. Viewers are attracted to both his fine detail as well as the romantic quietness his paintings portray. We are happy to support Valery in his work and hope you will too.
Alexei Borovinskiy
Was born in the beautiful Russian city of Sochi, where his childhood was without clouds till the moment his bones started to break due to “Brittle-Bone disease.” He distracted himself by making paper airplanes and ships during the time he was hospitalized. His keen desire to learn however, helped him graduate high school with a serious focus towards art and he has never parted with his painting brush since. In 1993 he became a student of the Art Academy where he concentrated on still life in oil. In 1998-2000 his works were nominated for the annual “Phoenix” contest. In 1999-2000 his works were featured in the exhibit, “Overcome” at the Central House of Artists in Moscow. The artist succeeds in transmitting through each detail a feeling of the grandeur of Russian nature as a whole.
Yuri Gavrin
My name is Yuri Gavrin. I was born Dec 1, 1974. I am a painter. I was born with cerebral palsy and only people who knows me can understand my speech. I like to draw since I remember myself. No toys or neither sweets could make me so happy as a pack of pencils and a new album. I don’t like when people star at me and feel sorry for me. I’m lucky person that I’m in this world at least and I can see and hear. Another thing that to walk and talk for me is not easy but I can hold my brushes and they care me away to another world where I don’t need to use any languages and faculties except my hands.
